We are recognised leaders in using all aspects of social media and online marketing, over 70% of all our sales in the last 12 months have been as a result of such marketing activities, rising from 60% in 2011, and 50% in 2010. Industry figures now show that 90% of buyers in the USA use the internet to assist them in identifying what properties to buy.* We believe that for Cape Town properties the figure is at least over 80%, so we are investing our resources into new media strategies to be as effective as possible.
In 2012 we launched an industry first with floor plans integrated with Virtual Tours through HOMEimage.co.za. Not only do we as Chas Everitt Cape Town South list our properties on all major property portals (including Property24 and Private Property) we also have exclusive marketing contracts with regional portals like CapeTownProperty.com and FalseBay.info . and we also operate a video based channel called RealEstateTV.co.za (operated by PropertyTube.com) that also publishes videos of every listing on YouTube.
In January 2014 we contracted a social media specialist to create twenty integrated area blog sites (see example www.Bergvliet.co.za) and these are fully integrated with community Facebook and Twitter accounts for the 20 major areas we cover.
Every new listing and every showhouse is being broadcast to many hundreds of opt-in subscribers and followers.
In line with this community social media integration our area specific subscription service ensure that email subscribers receive copies of all posts specific to their area.
